I want to ask you the very important question, are you a true sports fan or an avid sports fanatic. I searched both definitions. According to the dictionary, a “fan” is “an enthusiastic devotee/follower of sports or any team.” A “fanatic” is “a person who has a great passion for sports or any team.” It’s not easy to tell the difference between a sport fanatic and a true sports fan. I consider myself a fanatic. Here is my opinion about the fine line.

A sports fan will always have a favorite team. The fan will learn some information or history about their favorite teams. The fan will be motivated to attend their favorite team’s game when they have time and the opportunity.

A sports fanatic is someone who eats, breathes, and sleeps all about sports. A sports enthusiast will know everything about each sport, including its history. They are familiar with every rule, each player and every detail related to that sport. Fanatics will strive to attend every match of their favorite team. If they cannot, they will have a device or smart-phone that allows them access to the latest news and information.

A large, flat screen TV with a big movie-cinema size resolution is the most important thing for sports fans who don’t plan to attend the game. It takes up half their living room. It should have surround sound stereo speakers to make it feel like they are sitting in a stadium. The living room should have a large sofa with several reclining chairs, and foot rests. You should have enough space for everyone to sit down and enjoy the “big” game with you.

Food is the final requirement for sports fans. It is essential that there be enough food available to make it feel like they are at home tailgating. Plenty of food must be available, including chips, tortilla chips and dips, as well as pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, and other snacks. The beverages that are essential include a case or two of beer, as well as a refrigerator large enough to hold other beverages.

A sports fanatic will also have more memorabilia and sports gear than a casual sports fan. Sports fans need every bit of memorabilia about their favorite teams, from a jersey to a spoon. Fans are most likely to wear hideous team gear and have their face painted in the stadiums.

Some people say there are more summer than winter activities. There are many outdoor activities that you can do in summer like basketball, street hockey or beach activities. Summer is likely to offer as many choices as winter. There’s only one problem: we humans tend to be lazy when it gets cold. Summer sports can help us stay fit and enjoy the warm days of summer. There are two types of activities: single-player and multiplayer. You need at least two players to play soccer, basketball, or street hockey. Your enjoyment and fun factor will be multiple times greater if you play alongside your family, friends, or other people you know. Sporting alone can be boring and unsuitable. But, you don’t need a second person to do sports like swimming or jogging.

How can you tell which winter and summer activities are best for you. Try different activities to find what suits you best. But if you’re able to spend quality time with loved ones, and want to be in good shape, then you won’t mind taking on multiple sports during a season. Each sport has a different focus, and every sport trains different muscles. Going to the gym alone can seem too monotonous. You should try at least three different sports per week.

A Brief Theology of the Sports

Many years ago, I was a young speaker at a camp. One of the leaders told a parable based upon Genesis 1-3 when the group’s first game time began. He described the joy of playing games in Eden, where the emphasis is on the fun of play. The serpent entered the Eden-dwellers’ garden one day and offered them points. They gave in to temptation and began to keep score in the games. This lead to all sorts of evils including cheating, anger, jealousy, and even fights. They lost the pure joy that comes with playing.

This parable was used by the leader to let the youngsters know that they would be introduced at camp to non-competitive activities. There were no winners or losers. Just the joy of having fun. There was one problem. The games were boring. The number of young people attending the game time decreased day by day until there was only a handful of them at the last one.

Is this a fair portrayal of a sports theology. It is not, evidently. I would like to give a brief but broad theology on sports. If that title doesn’t appeal to you, you might think about it as: “Why should we watch the Super Bowl!”

History can be summarized in three words: Creation, Fall and Redeem. Theology should be viewed in relation to the creation, fall and redemption. To further expand our understanding of the issue of sports, I have added two words to my discussion – incarnation & salvation. These are both tied to creation and fall as well as redemption.

God could have created all things to be grey and serviceable. Instead, He created a wide range of colors, sizes and shapes. Why did He do that? He did this so that the creation would reflect His person and, more specifically, His beauty. It is a masterpiece of form and function. The creation is a piece of art.

Sometimes art can be described as having two types. One is visual art which includes sculpture, painting and architecture; the other is performing art which includes music, drama, dance, and music. The Lord used both visual and performing arts in his creation. Visual Art includes flowers, trees, mountains and other natural objects. Performing art includes oceans and rivers, planetary orbs, clouds, and oceans. Some items in creation combine the two.

Sports reflect this creative activity of our Lord. They also include visual art (painted surfaces, team colors and logos), as well performing arts (the actual performance). Sports reflect the function, form and purpose of creation. It is possible to find beauty in a play that has been run perfectly, such as a well-thrown baseball, or in a diving catch. Because they reflect the way the world was designed, those things can bring joy and excitement. They are an expression of art (or artistry if you prefer).

The Lord created things in a precise order. Not in an arbitrary way. Sports have their own order and operate according to rules. There are consequences for violating the established order, such as disregarding gravity. The same applies to sports. Sports reflect the essence and principles of creation. This reflection, when done properly, honors the Lord, and gives joy to the fan.

Fall – In the fall, man rebelled against sin. The curse which results from that fall touches every aspect of every thing. There is no escape. The fall is evident in sports, which we expect. There are both sins of attitude and sins in action.
The greatest sin of all is idolatry of sport – when it has the highest regard in the heart and the mind. It is dangerous to plan your life around games or limit your outlook on the outcome of each game.

There are other wrong attitudes. These are all sins. The fall can be seen in sports through actions like the fixing of games, using steroids and corking bats.

Incarnation-We are embodied beings. The incarnation validates the fact that our bodies are much more than containers for our hearts. Even our immortal state will contain bodies – glorified but not inhumane bodies. The Christian life isn’t about condemning the body. It’s about bringing the body under His stewardship to honor the Lord.

Sport is one thing that helps us do that. The discipline required to play a sport is important. Sports require perseverance, determination, delayed gratification and a toughening of the body. Sports can teach how you work together with others, how much to push the limits, how important it is to listen to your team and how to motivate those who are not naturally gifted. They teach patience. Even the time you spend on the bench is a sanctifying experience.

Sports are one way to honor the truths and realities of the incarnation.

Salvation is a drama. Effective drama relies on knowledge, motion, timing and timing. The Lord had a game plan before the start of time, which is the basis of the drama of salvation. This game-plan was created at the creation. We now know this as the people and events in unfolding history. And all of this was done in God’s time – Galatians says that Christ came in the fullness. It continues today. C.S. It is what Lewis called the true myth.

Actors/actresses today must be able to read their lines (knowledge), know where they are supposed (motion) and know when and how they are to perform their parts (timing). Dramatists with great acting skills also have the ability to create a sense of myth.

This is how sports reflect the dramatic notions of knowledge, motion, and time. Sports have many strategies and plays that show the knowledge. You can see the action in the execution of those strategies. However, they will only succeed if everyone is on the same page. Sports can be described as drama, but they also have a mythic side. Sports appeal may also be due to their universality, as they are an integral part of everyday life. Others would argue that sports are more than entertainment. They have a profound and vital role to play in the lives, as well as a meaningful and important place in our daily lives.

Christ’s sacrifice of his body and blood is the center of our salvation.

Sports are the only area in life where your body can be used for the good and benefit of others. Many sports involve the giving up of your body for the benefit of others. This is a display for the gospel.

Redemption – Redemption refers to the pleasure of restoration. When the redemption is completed at the consummation, it becomes glorification. It will be joy unbridled. The gifts of grace are the delights and joys of this life. Although they don’t always satisfy, they offer a glimpse into what true satisfaction might look like.

Fans love sports. It is a gift that brings joy, delight, and sometimes disappointment. We learn how we can deal with it in a healthy and godly manner. They should be appreciated for what they are: a gift in grace. While the pleasure is never lasting or permanent, it does give us the opportunity to experience that full satisfaction that causes us not to want more. Although a sport can be enjoyable by itself, it also points to the desire for more. This greater purpose can be seen by a sports fan who views the sport from a biblical perspective. Temporal enjoyment may be a gift, but not an end. It is dangerous to treat it as an end. We need to learn how to experience joy as part of God’s purpose.

We are called to make sports like all other things in our lives obedient and to take them captive. Sports participation and viewing sports can be transformed if we consider them as an extension of God’s grace.

If you want to reach a specific goal in your life, it is important that you are able to inspire the desire to achieve them. This is an important element of the notion of health. It can feel like a feeling of empowerment when you have opportunities to affect their lives. For health, timing is key.

– Exercise can be a great tool for reducing health concerns. Move and exercise stimulate the mind and body. If activity is a regular part your day, endorphins are released naturally and serotonin levels are elevated. You can achieve positive results by walking, jogging and even swimming.

Nutrition is an essential part of good health. This in turn helps reduce negative thinking about health. Serotonin levels increase naturally when people eat right. Blood sugar levels also remain stable. This helps calm an over-reactive brain, which leads to a decrease in health anxiety.

– When health concerns enter your mind, talk back to it by telling it to stop. Because you have complete control over your thoughts, shift to a positive outlook.

What it Means to Be an Online Educator

The tradition of traditional college teaching has remained fairly constant over time. This environment requires instructors to follow the same teaching standards that have remained relatively unchanged. A college professor is often associated with someone who is a subject expert. This person is likely to attain a position with tenure and will have dual roles as an instructor or researcher. They are expected to be published authors in peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles, and have contributed knowledge to the field. This form of education and instructor exists still, but there is now an online college/university.

It is unlikely that you will find a position as a professor in the modern world of online education. Online universities usually employ adjuncts. Some refer to their instructors and facilitators as “facilitators”. While universities may expect instructors to attend annual professional education, few institutions require them to publish peer-reviewed journals articles. The new breed of educator that meets the needs and wants of modern students is what is most needed. Online universities need to embrace the modern educator, and this is the moment for them to do so.

From traditional to online teaching

Some instructors will however refer to themselves in this way to indicate their position in the learning process. Many instructors at online universities advise their students to use their first names in order to create a casual and approachable image, even if they hold a doctorate.

An Example for a Modern Educator

There are many different types of online educators. There are master’s-level teachers who can also teach undergraduate courses. And there are doctoral students who can simultaneously teach undergraduate and graduate classes. It is possible that schools offering doctoral degrees have a standard for publishing the instructors in a way similar to that of college professors. A new standard is needed. Online educators must not have traditional teaching methods. Modern educators is a new type or category of teacher.

My education has evolved from traditional college teaching into online teaching. Today, I am a Modern Teacher. Instead of trying to publish in scholarly journals for months (or even longer), I publish online articles. Instead of my work being restricted to those who have read and access scholarly journals only, I now have the possibility to reach a wider audience. My work is readily available when I publish it and, more importantly, because I know how social media works. I’m connected to many international universities, educators, and students via social media.

You can share ideas and resources through social media. This applies to publishing as well. Instead of waiting to find an editor and follow the traditional publishing path, I have self-published e books. This has allowed for me to be highly engaged in the education field. It has also redefined what it is to be a college teacher. To be a Modern Teacher, you need to know what online educators should do and what online schools they are creating as a requirement.

History of Educational Technology

We don’t have any written evidence to prove the origin of the term “educational technology”. Educational Technology can be defined in different ways by different educationists, scientists, and philosophers. Educational technology is a multifaceted, integrated process that includes people, procedure and ideas. In order to implement, evaluate and manage all aspects of human learning, technology from various fields is used.

The five stages have all been used to describe educational technology.

The first stage is educational technology that includes the use aids such as maps, symbols and models. Educational technology was used as a synonym for audiovisual aids.

The second phase of educational technology can be referred to as the ‘electronic révolution’. This refers to the introduction and establishment sophisticated hardware and software. Educational technology has seen a revolution thanks to the advent of many audio-visual tools such as projectors, tape recorders, tape-recorders, radios, televisions, and magic lanterns. The educational technology concept was defined in terms these advanced instruments and equipments that allow for the effective presentation of instructional material.

The third stage is related to the development of mass-media, which in turn led ‘communication révolution’ for instructional purposes. Computer-assisted instructional (CAI) was also popularized during this era.

The fourth stage is educational technology’s individualized process of instruction. A new dimension was added to education technology by the invention of program learning and programmed instruction. Self-instructional materials, teaching machines and self-learning were the foundations of a new system of self learning.

The current concept of educational tech is influenced in part by the concept system engineering. System approach focuses on teaching machines, language laboratories, programming, multimedia technologies and the application of the computer in instruction. It defines educational technology as a systematic method of planning, carrying-out, and evaluating the whole process of teaching and learning, with specific objectives.

Educational technology in the Stone Age (Bolsen Age), the Bronze Age, or the Iron Age
Although there is some uncertainty about the origin of educational technology, it can be traced back as far as the three-age system periodization in human prehistory. These were the Stone Age (Bolsen Age), and the Iron Age.

The Stone Age saw simple technological advancements such as the ignition of fire using rubbing stones, the manufacture of various weapons and utensils made from stones, and clothing practices. A small percentage of Stone Age people invented ocean-worthy outrigger ships to allow them to travel across the Ocean. It was through this technology that they gained their first formal education in knowledge about ocean currents and weather conditions. For agricultural use, the polished stone tools of the Stone Age period (Neolithic Period) were made mostly from hard rock. Underground tunnels were dug, which could be considered the first step in mining technology. They were so powerful that even after iron and bronze appeared, they were still used for clearing trees and establishing crop farming.

Stone Age cultures had no written records. However, archaeological evidences prove their transition from nomadic life into agricultural settlement. The preserved tools of ancient times are found in various museums. Cave paintings from Altamira cave in Spain and other prehistoric art include the Venus in Willendorf, Mother Goddess in Laussel, France, among others. These are just some of the evidences supporting their cultures.

The Neolithic Revolution was a period of rapid development in Stone Age that led to the rise of Bronze Age. It saw the birth of agriculture, animal breeding, and permanent settlements. Bronze Age people created metal smelting for these purposes, with copper, and later bronze, an alloy of tin or copper, being their materials of choice.

Iron utensils proved to be stronger than their bronze counterparts and the Iron Age people developed iron smelting technology. Iron Age in many Eurasian cultures was before the invention of written scripts.

Educational technology during Ancient civilizations
Paul Saettler states that 2004 is the beginning of educational technology. He says it can be traced back as far as when tribal priests organized bodies of knowledge, and ancient cultures invented pictographs (or sign writing) to record and transmit data. One can find an instructional method or set of methods that are intended to promote a particular culture at any stage of human civilization. This was supported by many investigations and evidences. The technology used to instruct individuals and groups to manage an educated society has become more complex with each successive culture. Through the centuries, every significant shift of educational values, goals, or objectives has led to diverse technologies in instruction.

The rise and fall of ancient civilizations brought about the greatest technological and engineering advancements. These discoveries influenced other societies all over the globe to adopt new ways in living and governance.

Indus Valley Civilization is an early Bronze Age civilization that existed in the Indian Subcontinent’s northern region. The Indus River basin, which is part of the Indus River, was the center of the civilization. The region extended up to the Ghaggar Hakra River Valley and Ganges Yamuna Doab.

It is difficult to know for certain the Harappan language. It is presumed that their writing was, at most, a pictographic text. The basic signs of the script appear to have been around 400, with many variations. People usually write their script in the same direction, which is from right to left. The majority of the writing can be found on seals, which were most likely used for trade and official & administration work.
